Junior Farm was born from the concept of going back to farming with a new spirit: creating a more sustainable and harmonic environment, a place where both locals and tourists can meet to re-discover nature. The farm has an orchard and a vegetable garden.
We strive to have a vast variety of produce in small quantities in order to build a zero food miles organic and sustainable system.

From March 2022, out of all the farms in Cavallino-Treporti, Riccardo’s Junior Farm is the second to be certified. This certification has been one of Riccardo’s goals for years and it has not been easy to achieve.

The certification is granted only to those farms who follow a set of rules that the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies establishes.

Produce like artichokes, asparagus, onions, shallots, leaks, potatoes, beans, wheat, aubergines, tomatoes and peppers are grown without using chemicals and alternative ways to defeat parasites are implemented. For example the so-called ninja wasp and the carbid beetle are utilised to defeat artichoke bugs while other bugs are removed manually.

Checks on the initial phases of the production process have to be carried out as well as on the following phases such as transformation, storage and transportation.
